Insulation Facing Description

Foil scrim kraft insulation is a type of thermal insulation material commonly used in buildings. Foil scrim kraft insulation facing typically consists of a layer of aluminum foil, a layer of reinforcing fiberglass scrim, and a layer of kraft paper.

Aluminum Foil: This outer layer acts as a radiant barrier, reflecting heat back towards the source and reducing heat transfer through the insulation. This helps to keep the interior cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, improving energy efficiency.

Fiberglass Scrim: This middle layer is made of fiberglass mesh and provides additional strength and tear resistance to the facing. It helps to prevent the facing from ripping or tearing during installation and handling.

Kraft Paper: The inner layer is made of brown kraft paper and serves several purposes. It acts as a vapor retarder, preventing moisture from migrating through the insulation and potentially causing mold or mildew growth. Additionally, the kraft paper provides a smooth surface for the aluminum foil to adhere to and increases the facing’s overall durability.

FSE-1581B Foil scrim kraft insulation consists of 15u foil and 2-way scrim (5x5mm spacing) with heat-activated polyethylene on its back. Good corrosion-resistance and abrasive-resistance. It is a premium grade Heat Sealing FSK Insulation facing,it is both a vapor barrier and a flame retardant.

FSK Insulation Facing Applications:

Residential and commercial buildings: Used to insulate walls, floors, ceilings, and attics.

Ductwork: Helps prevent condensation and heat loss in HVAC systems.

Industrial applications: Used to insulate pipes, tanks, and other industrial equipment.
