FSK Tape

FSK tape, also known as FSK (Foil-Scrim-Kraft) facing tape, is a type of adhesive tape commonly used in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. Foil-scrim-kraft backing coated with solvent-based acrylic adhesive, protected by an easy-release silicone paper liner. The Foil Scrim Kraft tape will be increased tear strength for taping exposed edges and board joints of the rock wool insulation. It with superior resistance to weathering, mold, UV and environmental conditions, this tape performs extremely well in demanding cold and hot temperature applications.

FSK tape be used as building Radiant barriers. The tapes are installed in homes — usually in attics — primarily to reduce summer heat gain and reduce cooling costs. The FSK facing tape consist of a highly reflective material that reflects radiant heat rather than absorbing it. However, they don’t reduce heat conduction like thermal insulation materials.

FSK tape features an aggressive, all-weather acrylic adhesive that bonds tightly and permanently when smoothed down on the insulation facing surface. All Weather adhesive technology permits service temperatures of -22℉ to +176℉ (-30℃ to +80℃), and an application range of +50℉ to +105℉ (+10℃ to +40℃).

Aluminum Foil Tape Applications:

FSK tape is used for seam sealing and patching of FSK-faced duct wrap insulation, and other insulation applications where FSK facing is used, providing a matching appearance and vapor retarder integrity.
