Insulation Facing Description

FSK (Foil-Scrim-Kraft) is a specialized facing material used in the construction industry for insulation systems to provide protection against heat, moisture, and vapor transmission. The FSK insulation facing consists of a laminated composite structure that includes layers of foil, scrim, and kraft paper, each contributing specific properties to enhance the performance of insulation systems.

FSK foil scrim kraft insulation facing is mainly used under roof decking, under attic rafters, over existing attic insulation, in floors, walls and crawl spaces, and in industrial and commercial buildings as radiant barrier to block radiant heat coming ductworks and cold rooms combining with traditional insulation such as glass wool, rock wool, phenolic panel, PU foam.

FSK (Foil-Scrim-Kraft) Facing Features:

1. Thermal Insulation: The foil layer in FSK facing reflects heat and reduces heat transfer, improving the overall thermal insulation performance of the building envelope.

2. Moisture Barrier: The kraft paper layer acts as a vapor barrier, preventing moisture infiltration and condensation within the insulation system. This helps protect the building from moisture-related damage.

3. Strength and Durability: The scrim layer adds strength and tear resistance to the FSK facing, ensuring its longevity and performance in various insulation applications.

4. Fire Resistance: FSK facing materials are often designed to meet fire safety regulations and standards, providing additional protection against fire hazards.
