PET-Foil-PET vapor barrier insulation is a type of insulation that uses a layer of aluminum foil sandwiched between two layers of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film. PET is a durable and moisture-resistant material, making it ideal for use in vapor barrier insulation.
Foil Vapor Barrier Insulation DPTF-1251 is a excellent vapor barrier & reflective insulation. PET-Foil-PET Vapor Barrier Insulatio consists of 12μpolyester film/25 μ aluminum foil/12 μ polyester film.
The PET film layers provide strength and durability to the insulation, while the aluminum foil layer acts as a vapor barrier. The vapor barrier helps to prevent the movement of moisture through the insulation, reducing the risk of condensation and moisture-related issues. Foil Vapor Barrier Insulation combines the excellent vapor barrier properties of aluminum with the outstanding mechanical and thermal characteristic of polyester film, giving a ideal, flexible and efficient barrier material, suitable for outdoor use.
PET-Foil-PET vapor barrier insulation primarily used in cold/cryogenic insulation systems, to prevent the ingress of moisture into the insulation. This Foil Vapor Barrier Insulationis typically installed with the foil layer facing the warm side of the building envelope, similar to other types of foil vapor barrier insulation. This positioning helps to reflect radiant heat back into the living space, improving energy efficiency.
