Double-sided reflective foil insulation is a insulation material that made from 1 outer layers of pure aluminum foil and 1 outer layer of metallized polyester film as well as 1 layer recycled Kraft paper. It is designed to reduce heat transfer by reflecting radiant heat.
Double-sided reflective aluminum foil insulation can effective at reflecting radiant heat, potentially lowering cooling costs in summer and reducing heat loss in winter. Relatively lightweight and often sold in rolls, making it easier to handle and install compared to bulkier insulation materials. It might also act as a vapor barrier to some extent, reducing moisture penetration.
Double Sided Reflective Foil Insulation is ideally used as sarking and insulation under roofs, in walls behind cladding or under timber floors, for residential and commercial building.
