Reflective insulation double sided foil is a type of insulation material that consists of a layer of foil on both sides. It is typically made from two layers of aluminum foil that are sandwiched over a layer of bubble wrap or other insulating material. These layers are bonded together with F/R Glue and reinforced with 2-way fiberglass scrim.
Reflective insulation double sided foil works by reflecting radiant heat away from the surface it is installed on. Radiant heat is the type of heat that is transferred through the air in the form of infrared waves. Reflective insulation double sided foil can reflect up to 97% of radiant heat, preventing it from entering or escaping the insulated space,which can help to keep your home or building cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Reflective insulation double sided foil is commonly used in buildings to improve energy efficiency and reduce heating and cooling costs. This type of insulation is ideally used as sarking and insulation under roofs, in walls behind cladding or under timber floors, for residential and commercial building. Combining with glass-wool /rockwool/ mineral wool/ foam insulation, it is excellent as a vapor barrier and reflective foil insulation for air-conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels.
